The clinical staff at Vantage Point Counseling is superb. I came to know them first though Michael Salas, and then I was able meet the therapists individually and learn more about their areas of expertise and clinical skills. I have heard nothing but good things from those clients I have referred to Vantage Point. That is not surprising, given their commitment to helping those in psychological distress. This is a staff that employs the highest standards utilizing research-based practices while maintaining the humanity and grace so needed in the counseling profession. They are my go-to referral in the Dallas area for drug addiction, sex addiction, relationship, and LGBTQ concerns.

If you are looking for a counselor, Mr. Michael Salas is one of the best. I have had the pleasure of working with him in the past, and have continued to refer to him over the years. He has expertise in many areas. He is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Sex Therapist, and has training in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. Michael has a genuine and empathetic approach which helps to create a safe and healing environment. He is very skilled as a clinician and has the ability to help individuals during difficult times. If you are struggling with a sex addiction or sexual dysfunction, I highly recommend you speak with Michael.

I volunteered with Michael at a low-cost clinic for trans persons for a couple years, and really appreciate his understanding and support of the trans community. I especially value his perspective around the value of informed consent versus diagnoses for trans persons, and his knowledge that many of the issues trans persons deal stem from external societal forces and stigma. As a trans person myself who works with the community and refers others to resources, I often recommend him to community members seeking counselors.
